The guttering on your home – an unsung hero

Be honest, how often do you really think about the guttering on your Coatbridge home? The likelihood is that is never crosses your mind until you have to dodge a waterfall at the front door when there is a heavy downpour of rain.

3. It can lead to damp – gradually, over a period of time, the rainwater running down the same patch of wall will mean that it will start to seep through the outer protective layers, possibly causing a patch of damp on the interior wall.
4. It can lead to foundation heave – the worst case scenarios is that if this is allowed to continue for years, the foundation of a property simply become sodden and when the ground dries, then becomes saturated again, it pushes the house up from underneath. This can lead to all kinds of expensive problems and issues.
