What are Roofline Products?

Roofline products are parts of the roof that are a crucial part of how everything works but that may not be as well known as things like the roof tiles.  So what are roofline products and what do they do?

Fascias or fascia boards are long straight boards that run along the lower edge of the roof.  Their job is to hide the last row of roof beams from the weather and make everything smart and finished.  They are also where the guttering is attached so they have two important jobs to carry out.

Soffits are one of the roofline parts you can see from the ground when you look up.  They are the boards that connect under the fascias and protect the underside of that last roof beam.

Bargeboards are fascias that run up the sloping edge of the roof so they protect the loft area and also make a smart appearance. 

Cladding is often classed as roofline when it is on the roof areas such as finishing the area between a window and the roof.  Most cladding is now made with materials like uPVC that are durable and long-lasting.

Finally, the guttering and downpipes are classed as part of the roofline and may be the most crucial element.  They work to bring water from the roof and deposit it in the drains to avoid problems such as irritating drips and penetrating damp.
